Mimsi Bags is the home of custom designed handbags and totes by me, Jennifer Andrews. It started back in 2006 as an offshoot of Taterberry Cottage, and grew until 2010 when there was less time to devote to making custom designed bags.
Now, in 2023, it’s back! It is a creative outlet and something that I really enjoy doing, and now that I have an awesome craft room to use, I felt it was time.
All of the patterns were created by me, and the thing I enjoy most is creating a new design and pairing it with a great fabric. Because of this, there will occasionally be one of a kind designs available alongside the ones I make regularly.
Every bag I offer is handmade by me here in Western Colorado. I’m a small business, and not big enough to get amazing wholesale prices or order in massive amounts of fabric. I pay retail prices for all of my fabrics, and the bags are priced accordingly.
While most bags will follow a standard pricing format, I will occasionally come a cross a fabric that, while more expensive, just cries out to be made into a bag. These bags will be priced according to the materials used.
If you see a bag style that you like, shoot me an email! I can do custom designed bags from a fabric that you love as long as I can get enough of the fabric to complete the bag.
While this may change in the future, at this time I am not offering fabric choices or custom designed bags as a clickable option, simply because I would hate for 3 of you to choose the same fabric for 3 different bags only to run out before I complete all of them. Many of my fabrics are discontinued or hard to find, so getting another yard may be impossible. If you see a bag or fabric that you like, email me. I may have enough left for what you want, and I can work up a quote for you. If I don’t, we can work to find another fabric that will work for the bag you have in mind.
